Product Description
  • This product is a ready-to-use Coomassie brilliant blue protein staining solution for polyacrylamide gel staining, without the need for complicated operations such as fixing, boiling and decoloring.
  • Within 10-15 minutes, protein bands are visible, and the background is almost colorless.
  • It does not contain toxic or irritating ingredients such as methanol and acetic acid to ensure the health of the operator.
  • It can be dumped after simple neutralization without worrying about polluting the environment.
  • The staining solution has extremely high sensitivity, and the detection limit can reach 10ng when stained overnight.
  • And because it is free of methanol and acetic acid, it will not produce methylation and acetylation, which is completely suitable for mass spectrometry detection.
Operation instructions
  1. After the electrophoresis is completed, 200 ml of tap water is added to each gel, and the plate is shaken and rinsed for 10 minutes on a horizontal shaker to repeat the remaining three times to remove residual SDS.(This step is a key step, which will greatly affect the speed and sensitivity of staining.)
  2. Before using the staining solution, mix upside down several times, and add 25ml of staining solution to each gel.(Suitable for 8cm * 8cm * 1.5mm SDS-PAGE gel, increase or decrease according to actual size)
  3. Shake on a horizontal shaker and stain for 15 minutes to 1 hour.
  4. The protein bands will gradually appear within 10 minutes and reach 90% staining effect within 1 hour.
  5. The decolorization step is generally not necessary, but can further reduce the background.
  6. Add 200ml of tap water and shake on a horizontal shaker for 10 minutes to half an hour.
  7. This product can also be used for Tricine gel staining, fix with 40% methanol, 10% acetic acid for 30 minutes to 1 hour, then start staining from step 2, and extend the decolorization time to 2 hours or overnight.
  8. In order not to pollute the environment, add 30mg NaOH per ml to dissolve the product before discarding it.
